There’s a magnetizing power the world doesn’t talk about very often.
Not talent.
Not intelligence.
Not even confidence.
It’s essence.
Essence is what remains when we stop trying to be impressive
and start being true.
When we show up as our truest selves—our real Design—we activate the purest influence we can have in this earthly plane. It’s as beautiful and magnetic as nature itself because it’s how you were born to be.
Your Essence is your unique programming, your passion, your heartfelt purpose all encompassed in your ability to simply be exactly who you are.
Simple. But it’s not easy.
Because being fully yourself requires bravery.
Bravery to stand for your values.
Bravery to show your humor, your curiosity, your intelligence.
Bravery—especially for women—to stop shrinking in fear of judgment.
Most people don’t fail because they lack ability.
They fail because they blend in when they abandon their truest essence in order to belong.
Only about three percent of people have the courage to live from their essence
and to go after what is on their heart. The big dream. A big impact.
And history shows us something fascinating.
When people align deeply with their purpose,
they don’t always become more popular.
Sometimes they become disruptive.
And when disruption is rooted in truth,
it has the power to transform. The power of true essence in action.
One example, is Princess Diana.
As she stepped more fully into her purpose,
she was falling out of favor with significant people in her immediate world.
Yet through that globally viewed chaos, she created compassionate, meaningful change
for children around the globe.
Another woman I deeply admire for living from her essence is Jane Goodall.
When she entered the world of science, she didn’t follow the rules.
She disrupted them.
She shocked—and infuriated—the scientific establishment
by naming the chimpanzees she studied.
Not numbers.
Names.
By doing so, she gave them individuality—
something science resisted at the time.
Her work reshaped how we understand animal intelligence, emotion, and connection.
What was once radical is now more widely accepted,
though still not without controversy.
Jane Goodall reminded us:
“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you.”
What you do makes a difference,
and you have to decide what kind of difference
I once told a woman:
“Your essence is like a unique fragrance you bring into a room…
and the lasting impression that remains after you’ve gone.”
So here’s my question for you:
What would change—
in your work,
your leadership,
Your relationships
your life—
if you stopped trying to be acceptable
and started being true?
Because when you are courageous enough to live from your essence,
the right people find you,
the opportunities you seek appear,
and your influence… becomes effortless.
And the world doesn’t need more people trying to fit in.
It needs more people brave enough
to show up
as who they really are.
One last thing: People like Diana and Jane didn’t create lasting change by themselves. The impact you want to create will happen though people that believe in you and support you. If no one has told you, I believe in you. I believe the resources you need already exist and are waiting for you.
If what I’m describing resonates with you—if you know you’re part of that 3%—I’d love to have a conversation with you about your purpose and what you’re ready to create this year.
