Want to appear 100% comfortable
and confident in any conversation,
with anyone?

Would you like to be described as being very charismatic?
Would you like to leave people feeling
as though they have been seen and heard,
even if you spoke to them for only a few seconds?

There’s a super simple way to do ALL of this:

Eye contact.
Maybe you’ve heard this before (most likely)
but making eye contact can be difficult for some people.
I totally get that!  It was me at one time! (sooo hard)
I felt looking into someones eyes was so …. personal.

Seems odd that I thought that,
now that I am looking back,
because we humans build rapport and trust by looking
into someone’s eyes to determine,
friend?
or foe?
Shakespeare said the eyes are the window to the soul …

Here’s the thing,
Whether talking for a few seconds at a party,
a few minutes to a group at a networking event
OR
masterfully speaking from a large stage …

Eye contact is key for being influential in the conversation.

Do this if you want to be better at connecting eye to eye:

when you are talking to someone, train yourself to notice the COLOR of their eyes.
Bam!  Just like that, you’ve done it. You’re looking eyeball to eyeball.
Easy.
This trick can also can open conversation with a natural compliment
if they have an unusual color, or long lashes ….

Give it a try. Let me know how it goes!

P.S. The secret to “eye contact” from the stage, where you may have literal trouble seeing their eyes; do your best to connect and hold that person’s gaze for 2-3 seconds, before moving to the next audience member. ( ***Gold nugget***)
