What can cause us to fear taking risks?
The voices in our head. It’s not your fault.
Critical proclamations were originally placed there,
programmed by someone else.
Perhaps someone that was important to us
at a pivotal time in our life.
What happens to those negative voices in our head
when we stand up,
say yes to ourselves and
take the chance to get into action?
They can’t breathe.
Those critical voices in our head thrive on the decaying dreams we do not pursue.
Every time we stay silent or play safe, when we don’t take that moment to say yes to what we really want a piece of us dies. That thing that sits in your heart wants so much to dance in the light that when you close the door by shrinking back it cries out. I remember my heart hurting when I would shrink and stay silent. It was a physical reaction to an emotional situation, but it was real.
If shrinking is a response you recognize and would like to shift, it IS possible.
