The role of a leader has shifted in the recent times of uncertainty and change. Adjusting to so many “new normals” and remaining forward-focused for others can seem more personally draining than ever. It may seem challenging to take the time to rejuvenate when it sometimes feels hard to take the time to breathe in a busy day.

A woman business owner recently said to me, “I sometimes feel guilty for needing some space.”

If that sounds familiar at all, we are so glad that you are reading this right now.
This is an opportunity to make that time, take that space for a personal reset so that your future decisions and conversations come from your most powerful and centered place.
Why horses?
Horses are excellent readers of energy and thus offer immediate feedback to their human counterpart.

They react to a shift in us, so when we make the slightest adjustment in an approach to them we see the consequences play out immediately.

This helps us to become more attuned to how we approach our human relationships.  We do not ride the horses in this process, but partner with them in connection on the ground.

It almost seems like magic, but we didn’t pull this from our imagination, and there is no slight of hand.
These sessions are based on science.

Horse assisted psychotherapy is becoming more recognized because of it’s incredible effectiveness.

What you will experience in our equine program is a bit different and is known as Equine Assisted Learning. This is a fantastic and evolving modality that is being utilized around the world. It is possible to experience some therapeutic benefits, for sure, but we are specifically focused on helping brilliant humans shine even brighter in their lives as bosses, leaders in their community and family by helping them become more confident and aware of what they are capable of achieving.
What is the experience like?
This experience is powerful and life-changing.

We call it the Great Escape because that is how we intend it to feel: Escape to a hidden oasis in the North Forth Valley of Colorado.

Our experienced facilitators and horses will lead participants through a journey of empowerment and a true rediscovery of self.

* because we do not ride the horses. No horse experience is expected or required. We welcome everyone.

We will integrate equine coaching, art, rhythm, and mindful movement to reveal the power of YOU!
We will work with horses as partners in a deeply energetic way to intentionally remind you of your unique brilliance and gently allow you to feel the peace of being truly present
(that is where horses live).

You will naturally and easily boost your level of emotional intelligence.

When we reconnect with ourselves, and get out of our racing minds, we are able to access creativity and intuition while regaining a sense of peace, power and presence that is unshaken by stressors beyond our control.

Learn how to identify and appreciate how our emotional center can be a great tool for leadership and success.
Our supportive and experienced team will compassionately open space for each person's individual journey to regain a sense of clarity, empowerment and peace.

How Does a Wellness Retreat Help?
Once you allow your body to be fully present where your mind is, your body returns to a state of calm and clarity. You can now experience and fully enjoy each moment as you live it whether in the conference room, at the park or even in your home with your loved ones. You can be a rock in the river, standing firm in who you are authentically while allowing the water to move around you rather than being pushed and pulled by the current and busyness of life.

What is special about the area?
The North Fork Valley includes the towns of Paonia, Hotchkiss and Crawford-as well as the surrounding mesas. It’s named in recognition of the North Fork of the Gunnison River, which runs east-west through the valley from the mountains to the east of Paonia to the ‘dobie’ deserts west of Hotchkiss.
The physical setting of the Valley – tucked between the West Elk Mountains to the east, the Grand Mesa to the North and the canyons and high desert of the south and west portions of the county make this a distinct sliver of paradise and one with its own identity.
