Need time to breathe?  Imagine, time to day dream… To remember who you really are? Let creativity re-enter your mind when the daily stresses are gone, there is space to visualize….

This is your opportunity.

Relax. Refocus. Recalculate where necessary.

With so much uncertainty in our world in recent history, personal longing to create a life of purpose has never been stronger and this is your invitation to step into yours.

We believe you are fully equipped to engage in the mission of your heart.

It may require more clarity, a dose of increased self-awareness, perhaps a liberation from previous beliefs and movement forward with pure intention.

We combine working with horses with personal coaching, mindfulness, journaling and art to rediscover your unique gifts and get you into focused action.

Our facilitators bring years of experience to what will be a life-changing journey.

No experience is expected or required with horses; we do not ride the horses, but work in relationship with them on the ground.  (Riding is offered as an optional activity during retreat “free time”)

Why horses?
Horses are excellent readers of energy and thus offer immediate feedback to their human counterpart.

They react to a shift in us, so when we make the slightest adjustment in an approach to them we see the consequences play out immediately.

This helps us to become more attuned to how we approach our human relationships.  We do not ride the horses in this process, but partner with them in connection on the ground.

It almost seems like magic, but we didn’t pull this from our imagination, and there is no slight of hand.
These sessions are based on science.

Horse assisted psychotherapy is becoming more recognized because of it’s incredible effectiveness.

What you will experience in our equine program is a bit different and is known as Equine Assisted Learning. This is a fantastic and evolving modality that is being utilized around the world. It is possible to experience some therapeutic benefits, for sure, but we are specifically focused on helping brilliant humans shine even brighter in their lives as bosses, leaders in their community and family by helping them become more confident and aware of what they are capable of achieving.
Life is busy.

Tomorrow is not guaranteed.

Dreams are not fulfilled by wishful thinking, but by crystal clear vision and heart centered why.

Take the time away from chaos and reveal...
adjust
Your soul connection (your calling) as a theme in your life
adjust
What others are attracted to in you
adjust
Your unique brilliance
adjust
Your passions and gifts
adjust
Signs of congruency for clear communication and direction
adjust
The power of intuition
adjust
Your definition of success
adjust
The next focused steps to bring your brilliance to impact
We will work with horses as partners in a deeply energetic way to intentionally remind you of your unique brilliance and gently allow you to feel the peace of being truly present
(that is where horses live).

You will naturally and easily boost your level of emotional intelligence.

When we reconnect with ourselves, and get out of our racing minds, we are able to access creativity and intuition while regaining a sense of peace, power and presence that is unshaken by stressors beyond our control.

Learn how to identify and appreciate how our emotional center can be a great tool for leadership and success.
What's Included?
Accommodations are included at the Smith Fork Ranch as well as all meals and drinks (farm to table) provided by a local renown chef.

The retreat includes the opportunity to start your days with guided yoga on the terrace, evening entertainment as well as the opportunity to book a massage (note: first sign ups to the retreat are considered VIP and get first “dibs” on massage times). We also invite you to go with us to a local vineyard for a tasting, beautiful views  and a look at local art.

Plenty of free time on the schedule allows options for individual coaching/ experience sessions (more on that when you arrive, or reach out to us to get more details), and a choice of activities including hiking, swimming and painting. The ranch also offers a shuttle to town if you’d like to try a bit of local fare or do some shopping.  Of course, you may prefer to simply sit in nature and have quiet time, too!

What is special about the area?
The North Fork Valley includes the towns of Paonia, Hotchkiss and Crawford-as well as the surrounding mesas. It’s named in recognition of the North Fork of the Gunnison River, which runs east-west through the valley from the mountains to the east of Paonia to the ‘dobie’ deserts west of Hotchkiss.
The physical setting of the Valley – tucked between the West Elk Mountains to the east, the Grand Mesa to the North and the canyons and high desert of the south and west portions of the county make this a distinct sliver of paradise and one with its own identity.
